THE PSORIASIS PROJECT
Psoriasis is the skin disease treated most frequently and with considerable success in thermal spas, especially as a complementary method during periods of discontinuation of therapy or as a support to specific pharmacological therapies.
An innovative technique is proving to be the combination of thermal balneotherapy with UVB phototherapy (balneo-thermal-phototherapy).
A combination of natural treatments
The results of this particular combination of natural treatments lead to a considerable improvement in skin healthy, often even to the disappearance of lesions for prolonged periods. Our programme combines balneotherapy in thermal spring water particularly rich in selenium and bromides with phototherapy (narrow-band UVA and UVB sun shower).
The active skin uptake of minerals with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant characteristics at the cellular level is thus associated with the active remission of psoriatic plaque induced by UVB narrowband.
Motor activity in the hydrokinesis pool, therapeutic body massages with emollient products and a combination with mud therapy for muscoskeletal disorders.
